Leavenworth: A Taste of Bavaria

Inspired by the stunning mountains and surrounding rivers, the unique town of Leavenworth, WA radiates charm and character. Back in the 1960s, Local business people took design cues from the local alpine environment and transformed this small town from rustic Deadwood into German Bavaria. The result was - and remains - quite endearing, complete with a bustling downtown, busy festival scene, plenty of local events and a strong tourism industry capitalizing on the natural environment.
